OUR TEAM
Our team has a wealth of knowledge and experience with the supply of shipping containers through New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. In addition to the supply of general and refrigerated containers, we also have the facilities to convert and modify these into any requirement you have. If you require workshops, dangerous goods containers, retail and pop-up stores, or help in converting your sleep-out, we have a dedicated workshop that can complete your project on time and on budget.
Lance Swain
General Manager - OPERATIONS
Lance is SEA Containers royalty having been involved in the game for more years than he'd like to admit. We call Lance "M" (short for The Maharajah) in house as he has proven himself worthy. M is tasked with leading the whipper snappers and heads up our modification business unit. He has likely forgotten more than the rest of us know, so when he talks, we have found it wise to listen! If you have something off the wall that you'd like to air, M's your man, as it's likely he's been there, done that, got the T-shirt!
Dritan Ramohitaj
GENERAL MANAGER - COMMERCIAL
Dritan has joined the SEA Containers NZ team, bringing with him a solid background in logistics and operations, and the kind of calm, methodical approach that keeps things moving when everything else gets a bit… chaotic. With experience across the moving parts of supply chains, he’s right at home dealing with the detail—whether it’s coordinating shipments, solving the inevitable curveballs, or quietly making sure everything lands where it should (on time, of course). Around the office, he’s quickly built a reputation as someone who just gets on with it—reliable, sharp, and always up for a challenge, even if he makes it look a bit too easy. Outside of work, football is a serious business. Whether he’s watching, playing, or analysing a match like it’s a World Cup final, Dritan brings the same focus and passion you see in his day job. Don’t get him started unless you’ve got time. We’re stoked to have him on the team—and even more stoked he’s on our side.
Odin Madsen
Regional Manager - Northern and Pacific Islands
Odin is our resident energizer bunny and has been with the company since nearly the inception. The only time he's not running at full tilt is when he's stuck in Auckland traffic. Unfortunately for Odin, this is more often the rule and not the exception these days. It's a tough gig, but he's got broad shoulders! Odin had previously worked in the shipping game before doing his OE and going bush (Shepherds' Bush that is) for around 15 years and getting lost in the publishing game. He thankfully saw the light, came home and is always keen to catch up and have a yarn. When not in traffic, Odin can be often found hopping around a squash court near you, or in his much prized veggie garden...
Emma Olliver
Customer Service manager
Emma has been a valued part of the SEA Containers team for over five years and is truly at the heart of what we do. She plays a key role in keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes while also being one of the friendly voices our clients know and trust. Warm, organised, and always ready to help, Emma has a natural ability to juggle the day-to-day while making people feel looked after. She brings a calm, can-do approach to every situation and is someone the whole team relies on — quite simply, we wouldn’t be the same without her. Based in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, Emma enjoys life with her fiancée and their son. When she’s not at work, you’ll likely find her out exploring — whether it’s climbing Mauao, swimming at Pilot Bay, or making the most of the outdoors with her family.
IONA DICKSON
CUSTOMER SERVICES EXTRAORDINAIRE
Originally from the charming village of Melrose in the Scottish Borders, Iona traded the persistent drizzle for the radiant sunshine of the Bay of Plenty! What was supposed to be a year-long OE adventure magically morphed into eight after she stumbled upon her Kiwi partner, Luke. Over the past decade, Iona has worn many hats—hospitality, tourism, and most recently, horticulture import/export, all while keeping her eyes on the prize: happy customers! When she’s not working, you’ll find her gallivanting around the area, soaking up the great outdoors, or hanging out with family. Oh, and did we mention her plant obsession? Iona has around 40 houseplants taking over her space, so it’s basically a mini rainforest at her place! Iona will be the friendly voice on the end of the phone when you call the 0508 number.
Brett Wright
Operations & Relocations Manager
Meet Brett, our logistics maestro with a life as wild as his motorbike, motorboat, and automotive passions. Beyond a suit, Brett's logistics journey spans from dispatching linehaul fleets to becoming the Health & Safety guy, before joining the SEA Containers NZ team. During his time with us he conquered container sales and hire, before we told him it would be a great idea (and he believed us!) to focus on captaining our operations and container relocations functions at HO. Connect with Brett, because when it comes to logistics, he's not just steering the ship; he's making it an adventure!
RYLE GARCIA
Sales Manager - AUCKLAND
After 12 years in the fast-paced automotive world, Ryle swapped engines for containers—but don’t worry, he still moves at top speed. Based in Auckland, he knows the city inside out and brings that same energy and efficiency to every job. A qualified chef with a Sunday roast that’s the stuff of legends, Ryle spends his weekends fishing, sailing the Hauraki Gulf, or cooking up a storm. Need a container in Auckland? Ryle’s your guy—sharp, reliable, and always up for a good yarn while getting the job done.
Nigel Humffreys
Sales Manager - Central Region
Nigel is based in Hamilton and is looking after the North Waikato, Coromandel and South Auckland. Having started out in the Diesel Mechanical industry and then moving into Retail for 15 years he has a can do attitude and a strong focus on customer service. After spending a couple of years with a competitor container company he has a good understanding of the container game. When not at work he loves riding and tinkering with anything with two wheels and when its warm enough in the water surfing. Get in touch with Nigel with your container needs.
Jordan Davison
Sales Manager - Bay of Plenty, Gisborne, Taupō & Wairoa
Jordan brings six years of frontline car-sales experience, where speed, accuracy, and straight answers are the norm. He prides himself on solving problems fast and keeping the container process simple and stress-free for his customers. Based in the Bay of Plenty, Jordan supports customers across the BOP, Gisborne, Taupō and Wairoa regions — helping businesses, homeowners, and community groups find the right container solution for their needs. Outside of work, Jordan is a dedicated ultra-runner who spends countless hours on local trails with his dog, Bailey. And when he’s not in running shoes, you might catch him on stage playing live music at bars around Tauranga.
Dean Gibson
Sales Manager - Wellington and Lower North island
Dean joins us with years of industry specific experience and a lifetime of sales management under his belt. He brings a heavy focus on service and is committed to helping customers find the best containerised solutions for their needs. Deans' area covers the Lower North Island (Manawatu and Wellington Regions). Dean can be described in many ways, tattoo collector, beard grower, both good and bad at golf (at the same time) ... plus an unpublished children’s book author. However to him, his most impressive accomplishment is being both a Father and Grandfather, and the role he plays in helping raise his children to become better versions of himself. We look forward to the positive impact Dean will have not just in his specific Regions, but to SEA Containers as a whole. Dean is available through the details below, please feel free to reach out anytime.
Nick Moore
Regional Manager - South island
Nick is a proud born-and-bred Southern Man who keeps the rest of us "Northerners" grounded—whether we like it or not! And trust us, once you meet him, you’ll understand why we don’t argue with him too often. Last century he played rugby professionally both here in New Zealand and “in the Republic” before returning to his roots in Otago with his then young family. Now that they are all grown up, he’s migrated to the Top of the South Island and looks after customers across both the Top of the South and the West Coast. Before joining our team, Nick spent several years at Lion, honing his sales skills in the beer world. One of his former colleagues joked that he’ll find these new products a bit harder to swallow—but we know he’s taken to the container game like a pro. Nick still has roots deeply embedded in the deep south and brings that down-to-earth, no-nonsense attitude to everything he does. Now that he is based in Nelson he is looking forward to doing more fishing and long walks on the beach.
John Bowen
Sales - canterbury region
John joins the SEA Containers team bringing with him a wealth of industry knowledge in the South Island. He has a vast number of transport connections, so if you need a container anywhere within the Southern Region, call him on 0508 732-266 The rest of us can't understand his notion of 'fun' which involves crashing through forests on his mountain bike and doing swimming in mud during the Tough Mudder days out. We have threatened his employment with termination if he ever suggests we all do this as a team bonding event!
Chris Jackson
Sales Manager - southern region
Chris is Southland through and through—born in Bluff, long based in Invercargill, and never one to shy away from a good yarn. With over a decade in sales management and a deep history in the trade-supply industry, he knows the power of strong relationships and getting the job done right. A rugby man to the core, Chris has gone from scrumming on the field to calling the shots as a coach. His network runs deep, and his sharp banter is just as strong as his business acumen—because in the deep South, it’s all about who you know and how well you know them. Off the clock, you'll find him chasing a little white ball around a big green field or enjoying time with his family—because balance is key, even for a bloke who never stops moving.
