The plywood floor in your container may not be safe if it wasn’t specifically requested to be untreated when you ordered your shipping container, as it could have been treated with certain pesticides or chemicals. Don’t worry though! You can easily make it safe by replacing the old flooring with a new one. If for any reason you prefer not to replace it, applying a primer coat and a regular coat of epoxy containing 100% solids can effectively seal in any potential harmful substances.
