All containers are ideal for secure storage in NZ, construction sites, farm storage, private home use or commercial use.

FAQ's
A Silent Auction is a fantastic opportunity to win a Shipping Container at a price you choose. You and other bidders submit your bids privately, so you wont see what others are offering. The “silent” aspect allows everyone to bid on their own terms.
Fingers crossed! Once you place your bid, we’ll collect it along with the others, so sit tight and await our announcement of the highest bidder. The highest bid (s) received by 11.59 5th September 2025, will receive the Shipping container OR Containers at their bid price. Good Luck!
If you have the highest bid and are the winner, you will be contacted via email and phone to inform you that you’ve won the silent auction. The SEA Containers team will price up transport to your delivery location or you can arrange your own. Once payment of the agreed bid price (and any transport) has been received delivery or a release (If arranging your own transport) can be provided.
To be eligible to bid, you must be a New Zealand resident and have the funds available to fulfil a successful bid and any associated delivery transport from the depot closest to you in Masterton, Napier, Palmerston North, Wellington

Successful bids must be at within $750 of the Recommended Retail Price (RRP) of the container being bid on. Any bids lower than this threshold will be deemed invalid and will not be considered.
No. Only the winning bidder will need to make payment. If you are the winner then you will need to fulfil your bid and pay for your Shipping Container upon receiving the invoice at the confirmed bid price. (Plus any delivery transport required)
All containers are subject to availability at the close of the auction. While we do our best to accommodate all bids, winning containers are confirmed based on stock at the auction’s end.
